Sugar Waxing

Pre-visit Prep and what to expect!

Pre-visit prep!

Whether it's your first time here, or you are returning client, before and after care is extremely important. To ensure that you get the best results, I'm here to walk you through the do's and don'ts before and after your service!

Before your sugar wax...

Prep your skin!

Please come with clean, dry skin for your appointment. Avoid using powders, creams, or lotions on the treatment area on the day of your appointment. I offer complimentary wipes if needed. For best results, avoid exfoliating the day of, and the day after your treatment.

Wear loose-fitted clothing

Allowing the skin to breath, loose clothing also helps to limit the amount of sweating you do after a wax as sweating provides the ideal breeding ground for germs and can cause rashes, irritation, redness and breakouts.

Grow your hair!

About 1/2 an inch. To give a visual, your hair should be the length of a grain of rice or more! If your hair is too short, it might not be able to be removed properly, and the service is subject to be rescheduled.

Quick tip:   If you tend to be more sensitive, I recommend taking a pain reliever/anti-inflammatory an hour before your service!

After your sugar wax...

What to avoid (24-48hrs)

- Sex

- UV/Sun exposure

-  Exercise/Sweating

- Saunas

- Bath tubs/Hot tubs

- Tight clothing (jeans/leggings)

- Fragrant soaps

- Lotions/oils

Exfoliate + Proper Hygiene

Exfoliating is your best friend! Exfoliating helps to prevent any future ingrown's and keeps your pores clear of any dirt, oil, and dead skin cells from building up and clogging up! A couple days after your appointment, I recommend using our exfoliating body glove 3-4x a week, along with practicing good hygiene to prevent bad bacteria getting inside those open pores.

Consistency is key!

To continue achieving smooth skin and slower hair re-growth that thins over time, I recommend coming back every  4-6 weeks!

Quick tip:   Avoid using heavily fragrant body washes/vaginal washes as they can disrupt the natural PH of your body and cause allergic dermatitis, skin irritation, or yeast infections

What to expect?

Sugar Waxing

  • When you arrive to your sugar waxing appointment you can rest easy knowing you are in good hands with myself as your professional Esthetician.

  • We will go over your client consultation form and address any concerns or questions you may have before we start!

  • I will then go over what the process of sugaring will look like and procedures.

  • Before we start, I will step outside the room to allow privacy for change of clothing appropriate for selected services that day.

  • I like to make the experience fun and unforgettable! Getting to know you all and chatting about all the gossip is the best distractor during service!

  • I understand how vulnerable waxing can feel. Making sure you feel the most comfortable throughout the entire service is my top priority. Hair removal can get a little spicy pain wise. And know you do have the right to stop the service at any moment.

  • Once we've finished I will go over after care and product suggestions to maintain your beautiful smooth skin!
